History:

When Lotus was just 2 years old, her parents both passed away during their fifth anniversary due to their cruise-liner sinking. Her grandmother took her in and raised her, becoming the only guardian Lotus has ever known or needed. Her grandmother felt blessed to have such a sweet grandchild, deciding to call her by her flowery middle name. The two lived peacefully in a lovely little cabin in the woods and the young girl spent most of her time outdoors, usually with her grandmother. They would feed the wild animals, garden or just relax with some books.  The other part of her days consisted of home-schooling and cooking. However, as Lotus grew older, she could notice something was wrong with her granny. Since she was 15, Lotus aided her grandmother with day-to-day life, her condition deteriorating from her ALS. Being the only one to support the old lady, and feeling in-debt to the one who single-handedly raised her, Lotus put every moment of her time into supporting her grandmother. She dedicated her life to this right up until she was whisked away to the academy.

Personality:

Lotus is a very shy, quiet and soft-spoken girl. She is understanding and non-judgemental, making it difficult for her to hate anybody....Although there are some people she may not like as others. She tries her best to be polite and ladylike, however her home-schooling didn't quite help teach her how to be social with those of her own age. Because of this she can be pretty anxious and awkward, often burying part of her face into her shawl for comfort. Although social interaction sometimes scares her, she's very kind and sweet to every person she meets. She will go out of her way to help others. Lotus is not very ambitious towards other causes however, as the fear of what lies ahead leaves her unmotivated. Sometimes this will cause her to just crawl away somewhere alone in an attempt to ignore and hide from her problems. This does not mean she will back down when others are in danger however, and she will stand up for her strongest beliefs, even if it's scary to stand up for herself. To the people who get close to Lotus, she may act rather motherly with. This is linked from taking care of her grandmother, as she feels that she has a duty to support others, even if it means neglecting herself. She will become very attached and protective of these people. Lotus has more animal friends than human friends though, as she spends most of her time outdoors.
She's gentle and sweet, but she still holds a lot annoyance for situations and people. Lotus works herself up easily, but she's too scared to really express her feelings. Because of this, she ends up bundling up all of her emotions and she is easily upset by small things that most people overlook. Some people get on her nerves quicker because of this...

Weapon: Zhua

A sturdy clawed hand-like piece on the end of a pole. Incredibly sharp claws are used for tearing or scratching. May also be used to hook onto things in an attempt to pry off or loosen objects (e.g thin tree branches, plated armour). Also good for reaching that box of cereal on the very top shelf of the pantry. And if used gently, it can be a giant back scratcher~

Can sorta camouflage into certain surroundings by shielding herself in her mane of hair...
- Mental pain manipulation/ Deadly kiss _//shot- Lotus will leave an "imprint" on her target by giving them a kiss anywhere on their body. Her demon mark (much like a tattoo) will appear in that spot. 10 minutes later, she will send the target into an acute mental breakdown by inflicting mental and emotional pain upon them, or adversely put them in a more relaxed/ focused state by temporarily blurring out any emotional pains. The imprint will disappear if it is physically removed (such as through burning, skinning off), Lotus is killed, the target passes out during the breakdown/ controlling period. She may also "call off" the imprint on her own, or it will fade in power and visibility and eventually vanish after 11 minutes or less of continuous use. If she gets to this point, the person will be free of her control and she will be left drained and vulnerable.
Basically it's excruciating mental torture....which is funny because putting people through torture is the last thing she wants to do but it's the only way she knows how to sufficiently defend herself :U
- Pain imitation/ Painful kiss- Using the same dynamics as the deadly kiss, Lotus can opt out to tricking the brain into making the body feel varying levels of simulated pain, or having the mind ignore physical pains (the more intense it is, the shorter she can use this power), once the 10 minute countdown is done, instead of going for the emotional/mental pain that the deadly kiss inflicts.  The maximum time limit before fully fading away is about 9 minutes.

Weaknesses:

Her anxiety can be hindering, occasionally causing her to freeze up, panic or make impulsive decisions 
Even if she hides it, she's very sensitive to how others treat her
 Avoids inflicting actual physical harm
Very sensitive to sudden and loud sounds
She may be distracted when her kiss activates, as she will try to focus on the mental manip
Has butter fingers (and arms are much weaker in comparison to her legs), so she may drop her weapon a few times when trying to use its clawing
Weapon doesn't work at a far-range. Also can't be too close-range since it is on a pole, and it's difficult to use by holding it right under the claw hand
Can only use one imprint at a time
Deadly and painful kisses can not be both used at once
Using a kiss may make her nauseous and dizzy for a bit after she's done, so really she can only do 1, possibly 2 kisses per fight
It really is easy to just tug on or burn her hair

Strengths:

Understanding and non-judgemental, she's skilled at calming others
Tries hard to support others, and is good at being a guidance councillor-like or mother- like figure
Great listener
Smart and tactical; has lots of input to share with others but probably never will  due to being so shy
Mental breakdowns themselves can be traumatizing events, so it's a good scare tactic to use to her defence
Analyses and remembers fighting patterns quite well
Knows how to use the environment to her advantage (usually to find hiding spots)
Quiet and light on her feet/ sneaky
Fast reflexes/ reaction time
Quick and swift
Strong muscled legs can pack powerful kicks, never skips leg day heh

Other

Her daemon form clothes are flowy, light and easy to manoeuvre in, however the different flowing pieces can get caught on things or burnt
Her long hair is another security blanket, just like her shawl is; she's just always had it and doesn't want to rid of it even if it is extremely unhelpful in fights. She would rather die over and over again from that annoying horse mane than take away her hair and have herself exposed to her anxieties
She will spend most of her time outdoors or in front of the open windows in her room
When she's uncomfortable or feeling awkward, she covers part of her face and hides in her shawl
Meditates and practices mindfulness quite a bit, and may quickly get into a relaxed state of mind where she ignores her surroundings if she so wants
